Have you ever wanted to get into shooting and developing your own black and white film but weren’t quite sure how to get started?
Join me as I lead this one day, hands-on workshop where together we will explore the process from start to finish – including shooting a roll of B&W film, developing it yourself, and you’ll take home a complete kit of the tools you need to develop film at home!
Black and White Film Workshop
Saturday | February 24, 2018 | 9:00AM – 4:00PM
Studio 206 (206 Adams Street | Fairmont, WV 26554)
Lunch included.
$325.00
We’ll start the day by going over all of the essentials to shooting and developing black and white at home, including exposure, development process and terminology, etc.
Then we will head outside to each shoot a single roll of 35mm Kodak TriX 400 (included in the price!). After a lunch break, we’ll get our hands dirty, as every participant will simultaneously load our film into our tanks, and develop together.
At the end of the day, everyone will each take home a complete kit of materials for developing your own film at home, including:
- 1 roll of Kodak Tri-X
- A 2-roll developing tank
- Dark bag for loading film
- A 1000mL measuring graduate
- Filtered funnel
- Darkroom thermometer
- Three 1L chemical bottles, full of developer, stop bath, and fixer
If you have a 35mm film camera you’re encouraged to bring that along.
We also know that as valuable as education is, it’s hard to find those funds in the budget, so we are keeping this workshop very affordable. Total cost for the day is $325 which includes a lunch and over $100 worth of supplies to take home! Because of the hands-on nature of this workshop, space is extremely limited. Sign up today!
